24 Aug 05: I got the right stick grip installed today and started work on the left. I was still only able to spend about an hour at the airport because of long days at work.

I trimmed a couple inches off the right stick so the new stick grip would clear everything in the cockpit.



Then, I installed the stick grip onto the stick for the final time. Lots of buttons...



Then, I installed the stick & grip into the airplane. I still have to connect the 18 wires in it's big blue wiring bundle to the airplane, but at least it looks good now.



I trimmed of the masking taped section of the left stick using a die grinder & cutoff wheel. The towels everywhere were to protect everything from the flying liquid hot metal parts from the cutting.
